Wear test stand

The wear test stand (VPS) at the IFUM can be used to experimentally simulate the wear on the die radii of forming tools. For this purpose, a slit strip is cyclically drawn over the quarter-circle circumference of a test specimen. The quarter circle circumference represents the drawing radius of a tool. The wear behaviour can thus be recorded and documented via the number of strokes.
Parameter | Range |
---|---|
Tractive force | 0 – 21.600 N |
Stroke path | 0 – 100 mm |
Number of cycles | 0 – 31 1/min |
max. relative speed | 160 mm/s |
