The Felss Generation E rotary swaging machine enables incremental forming of rotationally symmetrical solid or hollow profiles to produce long and reduced cross-sections. The force is applied radially by several rotating tool segments which repeatedly impact the workpiece. At the same time, an axial workpiece feed takes place. The process is characterized by very high precision and design flexibility. By using a contoured guide mandrel, for example, complex internal profiles such as splines or splined shafts are possible.
