Kornfeinung durch Querwalzen

Abstract: It was investigated how a grain refinement can be introduced into a cylindrical rolled part with cross rolling in a flatjaw design. For this purpose, a non-circular shape was rolled in and out again. A theoretical preliminary investigation was used to define a suitable parameter field for experimental evaluation. Metallographic investigations showed that cross rolling had a positive effect on the microstructure.
